FAQ
Credit scores affect many of today’s lending decisions. Apartment rentals, insurance rates and even employment can hinge on your credit rating. Creditworthiness determines whether you’ll qualify for competitive interest rates or get stuck with high rates and fees.
As credit scores become more important, consumers are taking more notice of their three-digit numbers and want to know how they can improve their credit.
Wellness Credit’s CEO Greg Vogel offers advice for some of the frequently asked questions regarding problem credit:
Contrary to what the credit bureaus would like you to believe, credit consulting does work and can work for 100% of people in most circumstances. This is, of course, provided you are getting the best advice and have an experienced professional working on your case. Anyone with a credit score below 720 can benefit long-term from the advice and information provided through credit consulting; however, there are times when your own limitations make adhering to this advice impossible. The two limiting factors are: (1) your financial situation and/or (2) the time-frame in which you need to reach your results. It is possible to remove anything from a credit report if the creditor does not adhere to the law that outlines what needs to be done within a specified time period. All items must be 100% accurate and not obsolete, which is where many people’s reports fall short.
Our money-back warranty is easy to understand and is the best in the business.
You only pay for items that we get deleted or repaired on your credit! If those same items ever come back, we'll either refund what you paid for them or continue working on them at no cost.
There are two sides to the credit score battle. Sometimes, your creditors and the bureaus have done absolutely everything right and we have no case against them. On average (based on a random sample of our previous clients) we were able to remove 70%-80% of the items we worked on from a credit report.
Another factor that increases our results is what we like to call a 'holistic' approach. While most other credit repair companies focus on the negative accounts, we focus on everything. You see, payment history only accounts for around 35% of your FICO score - that leaves a whole other 65% to work with! We look at the whole 100% of the factors that go into a FICO score...not just the negative 35%.
We act as your representative due to our working knowledge of credit scoring and experience working with creditors and credit bureaus. It may often be difficult for an individual to communicate with creditors and bureaus without an adept understanding of their techniques and regulations in place for credit reporting. If you know what you’re doing, you can repair your own credit, you can also build your own house, but would you? We specialize in nothing but credit issues, as with any specialty, the more skill one has, the better the result they’ll get. We stand behind our ability to help you in the credit arena.
Through our services, 93% of our clients see FICO score increases in the first 35 days. Over a full 6 month term, our previous clients have seen 70-80% of the items fixed on their credit reports. There are many factors that go into a credit score; we have seen many clients get more than a 100 point increase while we have also had many that have gotten less. There is no exact way of knowing how much one’s score will increase until it increases since we rely on the client not doing anything in the meantime that will decrease their score while we are working on the file. We will do everything in our power to increase your credit score as high as possible, including giving you the best advice as it pertains to your unique credit profile.
Our programs typically last 6 months or less.
Any items reporting to your credit that are in any way inaccurate, unverifiable or obsolete items: bankruptcies, foreclosures, collections, charge-offs, repossessions, medical bills, credit card debt, inquiries, late payments, old addresses, judgments, tax liens, student loans, and generally anything else reporting to your credit reports.
The items you claim as being 100% accurate, 100% verifiable by the furnisher, and reporting within the legally allowable time. Also, any items where the furnisher has followed ALL of the consumer protection laws 100%.
Items usually don’t come back as long as the item is current or paid at the time of removal. This holds true except in very rare circumstances.
